Indigenous Training Coordinator, Office of Indigenous Initiatives

The Office of Indigenous Initiatives at the University of Toronto is currently seeking an Indigenous Training Coordinator is join its team.
The Office of Indigenous Initiatives was established in response to the U of T’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission Steering Committee’s final report, Answering The Call: Wecheehetowin. The Office’s mandate is to support and guide the U of T community as it continues to work towards reconciliation.
Under the direction of the Special Projects Officer, Indigenous Curriculum and Pedagogy, the Indigenous Trainer will operate as part of a team to design and deliver Indigenous cultural competency training and related educational experiences for U of T faculty, staff, and students. This training will help participants better understand the history, issues, and contexts of Indigenous-Canadian relations as well as guide participants towards taking effective action in their unique positions at the university to accomplish the Calls to Action from the report Answering The Call: Wecheehetowin.
