CIEDAR P2 (UBC Cluster for Indigenous Engagement, Development, and Research) presents an Indigenous Health Emergencies Webinar Series. This series aims to foster dialogue, learning, and collaboration around key themes affecting Indigenous communities during health emergencies.

This five-part series will cover the following:

  • Creating an Indigenous community-informed framework for pandemic preparedness
  • Indigenous community responses to pandemics and other health emergencies
  • Indigenous sovereignty and advocacy as solutions to environmental health emergencies
  • Approaches to sustaining pandemic research networks in changing social and political landscapes
  • Workshopping projects done by recipients of CIEDAR P2’s seed funding

The first session is dedicated to CIEDAR P2’s efforts during its first year as a cluster.

Kimberly Huyser, Tabitha Robin, Angela Mashford-Pringle and Sheila Blackstock will be presenting on the National Framework for Pandemic Preparedness. As framework partners, these Indigenous health researchers will discuss the importance of each branch, providing examples from their respective research programs.
